Make a beautiful flower using Adobe Illustrator’s Transform Again feature
The most powerful vector graphic software, Adobe Illustrator is really a superhero in its field. While working in Adobe Illustrator, if you are familiar with few of its necessary key features like instant duplication of objects, I’m sure it will save lots of your time. So here in this tutorial we will create a flower using this technique.
This feature of Adobe Illustrator can repeat the last transformation again and again by doubling the transformation value each time. In this tutorial, you will see how the Transform Again (shortcut Ctrl+D or Command+D) feature can create eye catchy and beautiful semantic shapes.
First create a shape using Pen Tool (shortcut P), it may be an open path or closed path. But in this tutorial, we will create a closed path shape similar to this –
Now select the object and switch to Rotate Tool (shortcut R) and drag the Rotation Point to the bottom anchor point of the leaf –
Now press Alt and drag the leaf few pixels to right –
It’s time for the magic! Now go to Object > Transform and click on Transform Again (Ctrl+D)
After the first click, you will see this –
Now just press the Ctrl+D (for windows) or Command+D (for Mac), it will repeat the last transformation (i.e. Rotation). Keep pressing again and again until you see a similar design given bellow –
Isn’t it so beautiful and easy to manipulate? Try with different shapes and paths to create more attractive designs.
