Manik Paul – a very talented boy from Assam who won the India’s Got Talent‘s sixth season. He was able to mesmerize the judges by his amazing dancing skill which made him the winner. We all are proud of him and congratulate him in his victory. Here is what he says about his journey to the India’s Got Talent.
Hello Manik, welcome to Creativica.
Thank you so much. I would also like to thank whole India, Assam and the entire North East for supporting me and making me the winner of India’s Got Talent 2015.
A very big congratulation for being the winner of India’s Got Talent (IGT). A young and bright talent from Assam wins the title of India’s Got Talent, how does that feel.
When the result announced, I went crazy and broke into tears. I couldn’t believe that I became the winner of the IGT. I’ve no words to describe that feeling and the moment of happiness.
Manik, tell us about your journey to India’s Got Talent. How did you prepare for it?
Well the journey to IGT was not easy. I was very nervous before the audition of IGT as I knew that contestant from all over the India will be participating with all their unique talents and nervousness of performing in front of Judges like Karan Johar, Kiran Kher & Malaika Arora Khan.
After my first act, all the three judges, they liked the grace and quality of my performance, which boosted my confidence level. At the same moment, I decided that I will work harder and will give better performance for my next round. In my second act, I did Chinese Pole and was able to impress judges. I’d reached to the next round with lots of confidence but also with a little nervousness. In my third performance, I did ring act and which made me emotional because I was performing in front of Remo Sir. I broke down in tears after this performance as I got the standing ovation from all the three judges and especially from the Remo sir. Remo sir came on the stage and gave me a hug, which was one of the best moments for me in IGT.
I was very happy when I came to know that I have reached the finals. It was more than the amazing feeling I ever had and a little bit worried too as it was the performance for the grand finale and my mother was going to see me performing on the stage.
We’re all aware of the fact that there are lots of dance forms in the world, tell us which are your favorite among them.
Yes, absolutely there are many dance forms in the world but my favorite and what I performed in the IGT was Aerial Dance form or you can also call it Aerial Acrobatics.
Manik, who has been your idol, your guide, your teacher in the journey so far, and of course, your inspirations.
Well my idol is my mother and I’m very happy to be a student of Terence Lewis sir and Uday Deshpande sir. They all are my support pillar.
Our readers would love to hear about the moments with your co-contestants and mentors in IGT.
All of them were great and supportive. When my name got announced as a winner, my fellow contestant Pralhad ji was very happy and had a big smile on his face. I enjoyed with him a lot and also learnt many things from him and Yogeshwari.
Do you’ve any upcoming project? We would love to hear about them.
Yes currently I am working with Terrance sir on some projects. Other projects are being lined up too.
Everyone has a golden dream, obviously you also have that. Would you like to share it with our readers?
Yes off course. I would love to work in Tollywood and Bengali industry. Tollywood will be more fun as they perform so many aerial stunts.
You’ve been an inspiration for all the youngsters of Assam and North East, would you like to say something to them?
Well if you want to achieve something in your life, do it from your heart and respect your family and friends, I’m sure you will reach your destination. Always work hard.
Thanks a lot for giving your valuable time and sharing your experiences with our readers and with us. Best wishes for your future.
My pleasure. God bless Creativica and Team!
