Passion knows no limits, and no matter what kind of profession one is involved in, a passionate lover of the creative arts will always stick to his/her first love – Creativity. No wonder Jagadish Buragohain from Sivasagar, though being a software engineer, gives as much importance to his passion as he offers to his profession. “I am very passionate about watercolor medium. It’s transparency, freshness & color blending attract me highly. I work mostly in realistic style with bright colors. I love to paint the dramatic play of lights & shadow on objects surrounding me.”, says the young gentleman who had earlier participated in National Junior Artists’ Exhibition-2006 and National Junior Artists’ Exhibition-2007, both in Guwahati, Assam.

Freelance Artist & Sculptor Jhankar Gogoi from Golaghat, Assam loves to work in Acrylic & Oil Medium and includes human figures & forms in his paintings. Also I work in sculpting & art installation. Having studied a 5yrs diploma course in Fine Arts(Painting) from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, he is also involved in art installation. No less is Tirtha Sankar Bharadwaj from Guwahati, Assam – Propreitor of Indra Nath Bhattacharyyaa Memorial Eye Care Centre & Optical and Freelance fine artist as well as Illustrator. In 2009, he left his job in the Marketing and Logistics department of Godrej & Boyce Mfg.Co. Ltd, New Delhi to pursue his passion. He loves to work in almost all mediums even though his preferred media are pencil, oils and acrylics. “The opacity and the versatility of oil and acrylic and the simplicity of pencil give me immense pleasure. I prefer to work with a realistic approach. I paint a variety of subjects and composition but have a special attraction towards night light. I wish to portray the beauty of nature, culture, folklore, history, heritage of my land through my paintings in the near future.”, expressed the ambitious artist.

The trio have planned an exhibition to share the sheer joy that they feel while painting their beautiful artworks. The group exhibition is scheduled from 4pm of 1st June to 7:30 pm of 6th June. The venue is Gauhati Artists’ Guild in Chandmari, Guwahati.
