Mousumee Chiring’s Jibanar Rang – Book Review
The young and debutant writer Mousumee Chiring has made her mark in the field of literature with Jibanar Rang – a novel which depicts the present socio-cultural aspects of our society and life. The writer Mousumee hails from Sadiya and has graduated from Dibrugarh University.
She is also known for her kickboxing skills and has won two gold medals of which one is for national level kickboxing tournament at National Invitational East Zone All Martial Art Championship.
The writer has beautifully portrayed the protagonist Rumi and her life’s struggles. The character Rumi is a simple girl who faces day-to-day problems common for every woman in our society. Another important character in the novel is Niranjan, who shows significant interest in love, trust, and hard work which our society lacks.
The writer has tried to make the language of the novel simple so that any age group can enjoy it, especially the young generation. This novel has many gems for the young generation to learn from.
