Red Epic camera is about to draw the crowd of Assam for ‘Jilmil Jonak’
The purpose of making good cinema is always a matter of the highest concern for a director and a producer, as it makes the audience see the reality that was once just an idea. Director Sibanan Baruah is all set for the release of ‘Jilmil Jonak’ in Assam on 30th May.
The film has been shot on digital, using the Red Epic Camera. This camera, manufactured by the Red Digital Cinema Camera Company, has been used to shoot many big budget Hollywood movies like The Amazing Spiderman and Prometheus to name a few. Its use brings a completely different approach towards film-making in the Jollywood industry, says Director Sibanan. The movie also features some great stunts done by B. Srikant, a famous action director who composed many fight sequences in Films down south. His 16-member team worked very hard to compose the sequences in ‘Jilmil Jonak’ .
“So we will be watching a different Jatin Bora out here”, said the director. Few sequences of songs were shot in Thailand. This is the second film from Assam to be shot abroad, after Shiv Prasad Thakur’s ‘Abhir Bhairav’ which was completely shot in London. 60 lakhs have already been spent on the film and even more is to be spent as the post production begins.
Dr. Daijee Gogoi is the producer of the movie and the cast is as follows:- Nishita Goswami in the lead with Jatin Bora, Raag Oinitam, Shyamontika, Aakshdeep, Jupitora Bhuyan. The most challenging task during the shooting of the film was in the location set in Ocean Dream Cruise Ship and in locations of Pataya Beach, Thailand. But all went well in the end, said the producer. Manas Robin has worked on the music of the film.
