Upcoming Assamese Film Nadi Mathu Boi’s Video Song Released
New Assamese film, Nadi Mathu Boi – Song of the river, it is the story of few youngster chasing their dreams. A writer, a photographer, filmmaker, an artist along with a group of dancers and musicians start a ship journey from the world’s smallest inhabited river island Umananda to the largest inhabited river island Majuli, the cultural capital of Assam. A journey which is suppose to culminate in dream projects like a feature documentary, a travel story, a music video, photography and painting exhibitions etc.
Nadi Mathu Boi’s video song Ujai Jao Ujai Jao released in 16th December at Guwahati Press Club. This song is sung by Tarali Sarma, Subasana Dutta, Rupam Bhuyan and Sourav Mahanta. Music composed by Sourav Mahanta and Dharmajyoti Barua was the lyricist. This film is directed by Jhulan Krishna Mahanta. Upasona Mahanta was the choreographer. Apart from this, there are 4 more songs in this film. The title song Nadi Mathu Boi sung by Angarag Papon Mahanta, music Sourav Mahanta and lyrics by Ibsan Lal Mahanta. And the song Jaubon Jamuna is based on Indian classical music with Tilmamouda raag, which written by Dr. Keshabananda Dev Goswami and sung by Sourav Mahanta. According to the sources, this film will be released in June-July month of 2016 and it is a tribute to legendary lyricist Keshab Mahanta. This film was produced by Jayashree Mahanta.
The casting of Nadi Mathu Boi – Song of the River has also given us new faces like Sandhya Hazarika, Annaya Dutta, Antareepa Bora, Nabamallika Bhagwati, Shiva Sonwal, Jhulan Krishna Mahanta, Sourav Mahanta, Animesh Gogoi, Dharmajyoti Boruah, Ratna Das, Sudipta Dutta, Bhaskarjya Choudhury, Montu Bhuyan and Kasturi Barbaruah.
Music has been arranged by Sourav Mahanta, script by Dharmajyoti Baruah, Rontu and Jhulan Krishna Mahanta, Choreography by Upasasna Mahanta.
